Visit an AE office soon, because there are several steps to the application process
And the earlier you register, the better your chance of getting a cool job or a 'must- see' destination.
Paying us a visit a week before summer vacation is probably not the best idea. No matter how fast we move, you still won't be able to go. In addition, it's like on a concert - you get the best seats if you buy your ticket in advance. In our case, the sooner you reserve your place for Hawaii, California, Las Vegas, or Ocean City, the better. The list of jobs and housing will be longer, and the stress about your visa and documentation smaller.

Embassy and Visa
Before arriving in the States, in order to have the legal right to work and travel, you need to get a J-1 visa, which you receive after attending an interview at the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest. During the interview you will be asked some standard questions about yourself, what you'll be doing in the States, where you will work, etc. "Be yourself" is just about the best advice we can give you. Don't be nervous, and answer the questions honestly..
The file for the Embassy must include:
